Are you inundated by screens everywhere you look? Me too.
Do you feel a little overwhelmed by the massive amounts of social media coming your way at all hours of the day?
Is it a little ironic that I’m talking about THIS problem in THIS format? Yeah. kinda.
Forgive the hypocrisy. 🙂
Here are 3 reasons why we should all try to (sometimes) UNPLUG:
Number 1: Your job as an actor is to portray the human condition. You can’t do that if you don’t understand it. And you can’t understand it if your head is always buried in a computer, an iPad, a TV, etc.
Number 2: You are a groovy artist. You need to feed that. You need to move your body, engage with others face-to-face, go dive in an ocean, climb a mountain, eat a beautiful dinner with friends – whatever it takes.
Number 3: Much of a successful career in Hollywood comes from being original. If we are spending too much time looking at screens… then figuring out what makes us unique, special, and interesting will be a lot more challenging.
I don’t mean to soapbox, here. Clearly, I’m plugged in too.
Like right now.
Believe me, this is as much a reminder to myself as it is to you.
Let’s do it together!
Let’s unplug for an hour right now.
Seriously, you go first.
You go first and then I will…
No, you go….
