The stars of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia did it.
James Franco did it.
Rashida Jones did it.
Billy Bob Thorton.
What do all these ACTORS have in common?
THEY CREATED THEIR OWN MATERIAL.
THEY WROTE THEIR OWN STUFF!
And you can too.
Start by asking yourself what is truly unique about you.
What is a story ABOUT YOU that makes people stop and listen?
YOU HAVE ONE. YOU JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IT IS.
#1: Invest in Final Draft. It’s a screenwriting program and it’s the industry standard.
#2: Set a writing schedule and stick to it.
#3: Come up with your IDEA by going for a walk. Then hit the computer to write it. Very few people are creative when staring at a computer screen and research shows that walking stimulates the brain.
